Stephen P. Partridge MSIM, BMus(Hons), PGCE, QTS, MISM - Co-Principal Violin, Viola, Piano, Keyboard and Music Theory
A graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire and qualified teacher, Stephen has been teaching for 10 years. Stephen regularly plays in string quartets and orchestras performing a wide range of repertoire from Bach to Berg.
Stephen's teaching now encompasses teaching in schools, privately and leading workshops and ensembles. His flexible approach means he is capable of teaching pupils of any age and can help you achieve your musical goals.
Stephen plays the Violin, Piano, Keyboard and Viola.
David J. Partridge MSIM, BMus(Hons) - Co-Principal Violin, Piano, Keyboard and Music Theory
David has been teaching privately for 7 years and has much experience teaching people of all ages from 4 to almost 70. David is currently in his fourth year studying music degree specialising in music performance.
Alongside teaching, David actively performs with both the Salsedo Ensemble and PB Arts Duo as well as orchestras and other ensembles.
Sam James MSIM, BMus(Hons) - Tutor Electric Guitar, Guitar, Ukulele, Compositions and Music Theory
Sam began his musical education early, studying trumpet and composition at the Sage Gateshead Weekend School, alongside private piano lessons. He went on to study at Birmingham Conservatoire where he graduated with a first class honours degree in composition.
When not teaching at PB Tuition, Sam works as a freelance composer and musician. His works have been played by several prominent ensembles, such as Orchestra of the Swan and the Schubert Ensemble, and in prestigious venues such as Symphony Hall, Birmingham and St John's Smith Square, London.
Lauren Storey - Tutor BMus(Hons) Mother and Toddler Music Programme & Music for Toddlers.
Lauren Storey is in her final year at Birmingham Conservatoire and started teaching at PB music tuition in September 2015. Outside of her studies, Lauren enjoys working with children with additional needs, and as part of her degree she is providing workshops at various institutions including a special school and hospital.
Malvina Jomard - Tutor BMus(Hons) Violin, Viola, Piano and Music Theory
Malvina is thoroughly involved within the Birmingham orchestral scene, playing with multiple orchestras throughout the year. Outside Birmingham, she has performed with Young Musician’s Symphony Orchestra in London. Being a keen orchestral player, she was a member of the City of Birmingham Youth Symphony Orchestra for three years, performing at venues such as Symphony Hall and Town Hall. Malvina was delighted to be accepted to participate in Orkester Norden summer course and tour in Denmark in 2014 and in 2015 where the orchestra performed with Ray Chen. Malvina is a Birmingham based violinist, recently graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire studying on the BMus Honors in Performance course. She was taught by Simon Smith and Oliver Wille and was also given the opportunity to study with Professor Corina Bololoi on the Erasmus exchange programme at the National University of Music Bucharest in Romania 2014. Malvina was born in Umeå – northern Sweden. After moving to Australia, her family settled in Queensland when she was four. Her interest in music became evident after watching a broadcast of Vanessa Mae playing Vivladi’s Four Seasons on electric violin.
