Why are instrumental lessons useful for my child?
It is shown in many studies that instrumental lessons enrich children’s, and adult's, lives. They are also very useful for children as they can improve students ability to understand concepts and ideas in other subjects.
Playing a musical instrument has been shown to improve attainment in other subjects.
Musical involvement decreases stress levels and most importantly it is fun and enjoyable.
Who can have lessons?
Lessons are available for people of any age of any standard from the complete beginner to the more advanced levels.
These lessons also offer students who have started to learn through the wider opportunities scheme to continue and progress further.
Are group lessons available?
Lessons are normally 1-2-1 unless you have a friend or two you want to have lessons with.
What is a good age to start lessons?
This depends very much on the individual, anything from around 4.5 years without an upper limit!
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons take place at our spacious home studio which is plenty big enough for group lessons.
Piano lessons are taught on a modern acoustic piano.

Do i need an instrument?
For violin the answer is a definate yes these must be bought at the correct size for the student. Piano however is a different story, for beginners up until grade 3 can use a 61 key keyboard which are available for around £50 and some even cheaper
