Reflection on 2017
2017 has been a big year for us at PBMT. We have welcomed 4 new tutors, added a new room, ceiling and waiting area into our music school.
We have grown to have almost 200 pupils of all ages and abilities and work with many schools across the West Midlands providing lessons on a 1-2-1, whole class, KS3 and KS4 lessons.
We have our Christmas concert on 16th December and it has a record 50 pupils taking part. Mince pies are already purchased as are gingerbread men, chocolates, tea, coffee and squash. It is very exciting.
Apart from that, I would love to wish you all ah Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
Tuesday 25th April marks two years since we opened our doors at Mitchells Shopping.
Autumn Term Concert
Saturday 26th November was our first ever studio concert. It was, by all accounts, a sucess with over 120 people in attendance! Our pupils and staff did amazingly and we now have our Spring term concert booked for Saturday 25th March 2017.
(Save the date!)
Below is a video of our co-principals performing "Adoration"
This week is the final week of teaching. Lessons resume the week comencing Monday 2nd January 2017.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
- Stephen P. Partridge, Bmus(Hons), MISM.
Just a quick post to say well done to all of our exam candidates this exam season. You did us all proud and continued our 100% pass. Thanks, of course, must got to our wonderful team of tutors. They work very hard to make sure every pupil achieves their potential!
I wish you all a Happy Summer Break!
We are replacing the trusty digital piano in our second teaching studio with a modern Yamaha M series piano.
It is being delivered this week and will be a great addition to our roster of pianos!
Better pictures to follow!
Monday 25th April marked the year anniversary of our Sutton Coldfield unit being open to the public.
It's been an exciting year and we thank you all for your support! Lets hope for another successful and exciting year.
This year we're hoping to do many more exciting things, including: pupil concerts, competitions, practice incentives and potentially a very exciting new development (which we need to keep under wraps for now)
Thanks for your support!
Today was the first day of teaching since the Christmas break.
It was great to hear that so many of our pupils had such wonderful times.
It is, however, time for even more hard work, from teachers and pupils alike.
The plate rhythm game went down a treat. (Pictures to follow)
However, it's not all good news! Our sheet music sign has unfortunately gone the way of the dodo.
Happy New Year!
This is always a busy time of year as there are many students to prepare for exams and other performances. This year all of our exams pupils performed well and couldn't have tried harder, we await the results and will keep you posted.
In other news our Unit at the Mitchell centre has now been open for 3 months and it seems to be going well. We now offer a wider range of instrumental lessons, which includes:
And of course welcome Sam James to our team of high quality tutors.
We thank you for your continued support and bookings and will keep you posted about future developments both in West Bromwich and Sutton Coldfield. (We are hoping to have a winter showcase concert and a Christmas Tutors Concert, more to follow)
